Basic pruning skills figure and guide
If there is a branch collar, cut it close to the branch collar. To avoid bark stripping when removing a large limb, make the cut at A about 30cm from the trunk. Make the second cut at B on the outside of A. Make the final cut outside the branch collar(E-F). A cut at C-D would leave too much of a stub, which might rot, and a cut at G-H is a flush cut. In the case of cutting thick branches, in order to prevent them from being torn from the roots of the cut with the weight of the branches, cut off the branches after reducing the weight of the branches in advance conducting ’two-step cutting’ 1. Cut or notch under the branch.2. Cut from above, located towards the outside in relation to 1. The branch breaks in the grain of the wood when cut 2 reaches the level of 1. No tearing, the branch falls straight, without pivoting.3. Removal of the rest of the branch without risk of tearing
Topping - ProhibitedIf the cut limb diameter is 8cm or more, it is considered as a topping Prohibited Prohibited
